Article 4 of Municipality Law

The Municipal Council shall consist of: 1- Ten members elected in accordance with the provisions of Law No. )35( of 1962, provided that one member is elected for each of the ten constituencies specified in the schedules issued by decree. 2- Six members appointed by decree within fifteen days from the date of announcement of the election results. All elected and appointed members must meet the conditions required for membership of the National Assembly, provided that the appointed members prescribed in item )2( of this Article hold a university qualification. Every voter shall have the right to cast his vote for one candidate from among the candidates in the constituency in which he is registered. Each constituency shall have one or more permanent electoral rolls drawn up by a committee or committees composed from the Ministry of Interior and formed by a decision of the Minister of Interior. The provisions of the aforementioned Law No. )35( of 1962 shall apply to all matters for which no special provision is made in this Law.
