Article 127 of Social Insurance Law

By way of exception to the provisions of Articles (27) and (115) of this Law, a pensioner may combine the pension due to him before the recalculation stipulated in Article (125) of this Law with any salary he receives from employment in the private and oil sectors, and may also combine this pension with any remuneration he receives—at the time this Law enters into force—from a public treasury. Upon the termination of his service in both cases, his entitlement shall be calculated on the basis of the new period alone, such that the total of the two pensions does not exceed the maximum pension stipulated in Articles (19) or (23), as the case may be. Nevertheless, the pensioner may request suspension of payment of the pension due to him before recalculation and that he be treated, upon termination of his service, on the basis of both periods together, within thirty days from the date of notification of the recalculation or the date of commencing employment, whichever is earlier.
