Article 22 of Social Insurance Law

Upon termination of service, the Prime Minister and ministers shall be entitled to a monthly retirement pension in accordance with the following provisions: 1 - If the period spent in ministerial office is one full year, the pension shall be calculated on the basis of a notional service period of fifteen years. 2 - If the period spent in ministerial office is four full years, the pension entitlement shall be equivalent to 75% of the salary. 3 - In the event of total disability or death during the insured person's service in ministerial office, the pension shall be calculated in accordance with the preceding item and on the assumption of having spent four years in ministerial office if the actual period therein is less than that, or on the basis prescribed in Article (17) of this Law, whichever is greater. 4 - In the cases prescribed in the preceding items, if the aggregate periods in ministerial office or in other posts and employment subject to the provisions of this Part qualify them for a larger pension, the additional years shall be taken into account in their full amount. Payment of insurance contributions shall cease when the contribution period credited under this insurance reaches the amount required for entitlement to the maximum pension prescribed in the preceding paragraph. The cessation shall continue even if the insured person takes up new employment after leaving the scope of application of the provisions of this Chapter. Amounts previously deducted as contributions from which the insured person did not benefit shall be refunded.
