Article 44 of Social Insurance Law

Financial assistance shall not be payable in the following cases: 1- If the insured person intentionally injures himself. 2- If the injury occurs because of gross and intentional misconduct on the part of the injured person. The following shall be deemed to fall within this category: Law Index 839 Home Page Social Insurance Law Amiri Order promulgating Law No. 61 of 1976 issuing the Social Insurance Law 3- Every act committed by the injured person under the influence of alcohol or narcotics. 4- Every express violation of the prevention instructions posted in conspicuous places at the workplace. Excepted from this are cases in which the injury results in the death of the insured person or leaves him with a permanent disability exceeding 25% of total disability. Neither of the two cases (a) or (b) may be invoked unless it is established by the investigation conducted pursuant to Article (47) of this Law.
