Article 244 of Commercial Code

1 - The warehouse keeper shall be liable for the safekeeping and maintenance of the deposited goods up to their value as assessed by the depositor. 2 - The warehouse keeper shall not be liable for damage to or shortage in the goods resulting from force majeure, the nature of the goods or the manner of their preparation. - The warehouse keeper may request permission from the president of the Court of First Instance to sell the goods if they are threatened with rapid deterioration, and the president shall specify the manner of sale.
