Article 403 of Commercial Code

1 - If the proceeds of discounting a commercial instrument are entered in the current account and the instrument's amount is not paid at maturity, the person who discounted the instrument may, even after the person who submitted it for discounting has been declared bankrupt, cancel the entry by making a reverse entry. 2 - A reverse entry means entering on the debit side of the account an amount equal to the value of the commercial instrument plus statutory interest from the maturity date and expenses.
