Article 446 of Commercial Code

1 - If the drawee strikes out his acceptance written on the bill of exchange before returning it, the acceptance struck out shall be deemed a refusal. The striking out shall be deemed to have occurred before the bill of exchange was returned, unless the contrary is established. - Nevertheless, if the drawee notifies the holder or any other signatory in writing of his acceptance, he shall be bound towards them by that acceptance.
