Article 498 of Commercial Code

1 - If those who accepted the bill of exchange by intervention or those designated to pay it in case of need have a domicile at its place of payment, its holder shall present it to all of them for payment and, if necessary, make a protest for non-payment no later than the day following the last day on which a protest may be made. 2 - If the protest is not made within this period, the person who designated the payer in case of need or the person for whose benefit acceptance of the bill of exchange by intervention occurred, as well as subsequent endorsers, shall be discharged from their obligations.
