Article 512 of Commercial Code

An instrument lacking any of the particulars mentioned in the preceding Article shall not be considered a cheque, except in the following two cases: 1 - If the cheque lacks a statement of the place of drawing, it shall be deemed drawn at the place indicated beside the drawer's name. 2 - If it lacks a statement of the place of payment, the place specified beside the drawee's name shall be considered its place of payment. If several places are mentioned beside the drawee's name, the cheque shall be considered payable at the first place indicated therein. If the cheque lacks these particulars or any other particular, it shall be considered payable at the place where the drawee's principal establishment is located.
