Article 252 of Kuwaiti Penal Code

Any person who attacks a ship on the high seas with the intention of seizing it or the goods it carries, or with the intention of harming one or more persons on board, shall be punished by life imprisonment, to which a fine not exceeding one thousand one hundred and twenty-five dinars may be added. If the attack on the ship results in the death of one or more persons on board, the penalty shall be death. The penalties mentioned in the preceding two paragraphs shall be imposed if the act is committed on the high seas by a passenger aboard the ship itself.
