Article 39 of Title Register Law

The merger of a property into another property or its subdivision shall entail: 1- Cancellation of the register folio allocated to the property that was merged or subdivided and its replacement with other folios bearing new numbers for the newly created properties, the particulars of which shall be derived from the cancelled property folio and the instruments that gave rise to the merger or subdivision. 2- Permanent preservation of the cancelled register folio relating to the old properties after annotating it with the particulars of the new properties.
