Article 65 of Private Sector Labour Law

A- A worker may not be employed for more than five consecutive hours per day without those hours being followed by a rest period of not less than one hour. Rest periods shall not be counted as working hours. The banking, financial and investment sector is excepted from this, and working hours therein shall be eight consecutive hours. B- With the Minister’s approval, workers may be employed without a rest period for technical or emergency reasons or for office work, provided that the total daily working hours prescribed by Article (64) of this Law are reduced by at least one hour.
