Article 183 of Code of Civil Procedure

The arbitrators’ award shall be issued by a majority of opinions and must be in writing. It must include, in particular, a summary of the arbitration agreement, a summary of the litigants’ statements and documents, the reasons for the award, its operative part, its date of issuance, the place where it was issued and the arbitrators’ signatures. If one or more arbitrators refuse to sign the award, this shall be stated therein. The award shall be valid if signed by a majority of the arbitrators, even if one or more of them has stepped aside or withdrawn after the case was reserved for judgment and deliberations began in his presence, as an exception to the provision of Article (175). The award shall be drawn up in Arabic unless the litigants agree otherwise, in which case an official translation must accompany it upon deposit. The award shall be deemed issued from the date the arbitrators sign it after it has been written.
