The arbitrator shall issue his award without being bound by procedural rules except as stipulated in this Part. Nevertheless, the parties may agree on specific procedures to be followed by the arbitrator. The arbitrator's award shall be in accordance with the rules of law unless he is authorized to settle, in which case he shall not be bound by those rules except those relating to public order. The rules concerning expedited enforcement shall apply to arbitral awards.
