Article 205 of Code of Civil Procedure

The process server or enforcement officer, as the case may be, shall—upon service of the writ of execution or at any stage of the proceedings—receive payment of the debt when tendered to him and give a receipt, without the need for special authorization. If the amount tendered is part of the debt, he shall receive it and continue execution in respect of the remainder. In the absence of the execution applicant, he shall deposit the sums received in the treasury of the Enforcement Department for the account of the execution applicant on the same day or, at the latest, on the following day.
