Article 218 of Code of Civil Procedure

At any stage of the proceedings before the auction is awarded, a sum of money equal to the debts for which attachment was imposed and their accessories may be deposited in the treasury of the Enforcement Department, earmarked for their payment to the exclusion of others. This deposit shall result in the release of the attachment over the attached property and its transfer to the deposited sum. If new attachments are subsequently imposed on the deposited sum, they shall have no effect against those for whom the sum was earmarked. The person whose property is attached may, at any stage of the proceedings, request the judge of urgent matters to assess a sum or its equivalent for him to deposit in the treasury of the Enforcement Department for payment to the attaching creditor. This deposit shall result in the release of the attachment over the attached property and its transfer to what has been deposited. What has been deposited shall become earmarked for payment of the attaching creditor's claim when it is acknowledged in his favor or adjudged to be established in his favor.
