Article 242 of Code of Civil Procedure

Attachment shall be effected by a report drawn up at the place where it is imposed. In addition to the particulars required in service documents, it shall contain the following: a - Identification of the enforceable instrument. b - A statement of the attaching creditor's domicile or workplace and designation of an elected domicile for him in Kuwait if he has no domicile or workplace therein. c - The place of attachment, the procedures undertaken by the officer, the obstacles and objections he encountered during attachment, and the measures he took concerning them. d - A detailed inventory of the attached items, stating their type, descriptions, quantity, weight or dimensions, and approximate value. e - Specification of the day, time and place of sale. The enforcement officer must sign the attachment report, and attachment may not be imposed in the presence of the applicant for enforcement. Attachment does not require removal of the attached items from their location. The items become attached as soon as they are mentioned in the attachment report, even if no custodian is appointed over them. The debtor may not be searched to attach what is in his pocket except with prior permission from the Director of the Enforcement Department upon the creditor's request. If attachment takes place in the debtor's presence or at his domicile or workplace, a copy of the report shall be delivered to him or to someone entitled to receive it on his behalf in the manner set out in Article 9. If attachment takes place in his absence and elsewhere than at his domicile or workplace, the report must be served upon him personally or at his domicile or workplace within no more than the seven days following attachment.
