Article 254 of Code of Civil Procedure

If no one comes forward to purchase the gold or silver articles or bullion, ornaments, jewelry, precious stones and appraised items at their value as assessed by experts, and the creditor does not agree to receive satisfaction of his debt from them in kind at that value, the time for their sale shall be extended to the following day if it is not a holiday, or to the first working day after the holiday. If no purchaser comes forward at the assessed value, the sale shall be postponed to another day the posting or publication periods in the manner set out in the preceding articles, and they shall then be sold to the successful bidder even at a price below their appraised value.
