Article 24 of Traffic Law

A driving licence granted for the first time may be withdrawn if its holder commits, within the first year of its grant, two violations of those provided for in Articles (33 excluding item 3, 33 bis, 38). He shall not be granted a new licence until a period of not less than four months from the date of withdrawal has elapsed. For reinstatement of the driving licence, the offender may be enrolled in an awareness course in accordance with what is specified by the implementing regulations and the governing ministerial decisions, or be retested 1-2 ( Amended pursuant to Decree-Law No. 5 of 2025 if the General Traffic Department considers this appropriate.
