Article 9 of Copyright and Related Rights Law

The author, his universal successor and the legatee shall enjoy an exclusive right to authorize or prohibit any use or exploitation of his work in any manner whatsoever, as follows: 1 - Reproducing the work by any means, including printing, photographing, recording on tapes, records, laser compact discs or electronic memories of a computer, or storage in digital form in an electronic or optical environment, or any other means. 2 - Translating his work into another language, arranging it musically, or making any other modification or adaptation to it that constitutes a derivative work. 3 - Distributing the work or its physical copies to the public by sale or any other disposition transferring ownership. The exclusive right of distribution shall be exhausted upon the first sale of the original copy of the work, and the purchaser of the protected original work shall be permitted to sell it, relinquish it or dispose of it without the right holder’s permission. 4 - Public performance of his work. h - Broadcasting, rebroadcasting or communicating the work to the public. 6 - Renting the work.
