Article 11 of Public Funds Protection Law

Every public official, employee or worker assigned to safeguard an interest of one of the entities referred to in Article Two in a transaction, operation or case, or assigned to negotiate, enter into commitments and agreements, or contract with any entity within or outside the country in a matter concerning those entities, where that would give rise to financial rights or obligations for the State or the other aforementioned entities, who deliberately conducts it in a manner detrimental to the interests of those entities in order to obtain a profit or benefit for himself or another, shall be punished by life imprisonment or temporary imprisonment for a term of not less than seven years. If the offender achieves his objective, or his offence is such as to harm the country's financial, commercial or economic conditions, or he commits the offence in wartime, the penalty shall be life imprisonment.
