Article 38 of Law on the Practice of Medicine and Allied Health Professions

The Deputy Head of the Agency shall exercise all powers prescribed by this Law in the absence of the Head or when delegated by him by a decision or assigned by him to do so in writing. The Medical Liability Agency shall constitute a General Secretariat responsible for preparing the agenda for meetings of al-Jafa, issuing invitations, preserving documents, organizing all its affairs and everything necessary for the conduct of its work and that of its committees. The General Secretariat shall also be responsible for assisting the Head of the Agency, his deputy and its committees, and following up the implementation of decisions issued by them. The Agency shall have the right to second, appoint and contract with whomever it considers appropriate to engage for their services.
