Article 9 of Law on the Practice of Medicine and Allied Health Professions

The practitioner shall comply with the following: 1. To perform the duties of his work in accordance with the scientific and technical principles recognized in the field of medicine and its fundamental rules, and in a manner commensurate with his grade, level, scientific and practical specialization and professional experience in performing them. 2. To take all necessary measures to preserve the patient's privacy and dignity without discrimination or differentiation on the basis of sex, origin, religion, language or any other basis. 4. To take care to exchange medical information and expertise and to cooperate and assist one another in caring for patients. 5. Not to exploit the patient's need for the purpose of obtaining a private benefit for himself or others. 6. Not to act maliciously against any practitioner, diminish his scientific or moral standing, or repeat rumours that harm him. 7. That they treat patients well and provide them with the required health care without discrimination among them. 8. To cooperate and seek advice from specialists if the patient's condition so requires. 9. To respond to emergence without delay in cases of emergencies, disasters and wars, even if they are outside their official working hours or on their authorized leave. 10. To record the patient's health condition and medical history. 11. To use the diagnostic and treatment means available and necessary for the medical condition and to use medical devices, instruments and equipment in accordance with the technical rules, controls and procedures for their use. 12. To observe accuracy in explaining and conveying medical information and data when giving health advice or guidance to patients or the public, in accordance with his specialization or as required by the practice of his work and the nature of his position.
