Article 12 of Anti-Commercial Fraud Law

Punishment shall be by detention imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years and a fine of not less than ) 100,000 ) one hundred thousand Saudi riyals or their equivalent in the currencies of the Council states, and not exceeding ( 1000,000 ) one million Saudi riyals or their equivalent in the currencies of the Council states, or by either of these two penalties, if the act of adulteration or deception in goods—or an attempt at either—is accompanied by the use of counterfeit or different balances, capacity measures, measuring instruments, seals, labels or testing machines, or by the use of methods and means liable to render the process of weighing the product, measuring its capacity, measuring it or testing it incorrect, or if the adulterated or spoiled goods or the materials used to adulterate them are harmful to human or animal health and safety.
