Article 157 of Capital Markets Authority Law

Without prejudice to the employment statuses prescribed for employees of the Kuwait Stock Exchange on the date this Law enters into force, these employees shall continue to work for the Authority with the same rights and duties existing on that date. Their gratuities for their previous period of service shall be settled and paid by the Kuwait Stock Exchange. The Authority shall be obliged to retrain and regularise the statuses of Kuwait Stock Exchange employees in accordance with the requirements of implementing this Law and its Executive Regulations. The proportion of Kuwaiti employees shall be determined so that it is not less than 75% of the total number of employees in the Capital Market Authority, securities exchanges, and clearing agencies.
