Article 6 of Decree-Law No. 47 of 2026 concerning Combating Terrorist Crimes

Any perpetrator who takes the initiative to notify the public authorities before commencement of the execution of the crime and before commencement of the investigation shall be exempt from the penalties prescribed in this Decree-Law. The court may grant exemption from punishment in the following two cases: 1 - If notification occurs after completion of the crime and before commencement of the investigation. - If the perpetrator enables the authorities to arrest the other perpetrators of the crime or the perpetrators of another terrorist crime after commencement of the investigation.
