Article 255 of Civil Code

If personal injury occurs that entails diya in accordance with the provisions of Islamic Sharia and the contents of the schedule of diyat stipulated in Article 251, and that injury occurs through direct action and through the use of a thing mentioned in Article 243, the direct actor shall be liable for it, unless, in committing it, he remained within the limits of lawful defense.
