Article 219 of Code of Criminal Procedure and Trials

English translation

The court that issued a first-instance judgment of imprisonment, as well as the court to which an appeal against that judgment has been brought, may order its immediate enforcement or require the convicted person to provide a personal or financial surety if there is no fear of his flight. If the convicted person is in pretrial detention in the case at the time the first-instance judgment is issued, the first-instance judgment shall be enforced immediately, unless the court that issued that judgment or the court to which an appeal against it has been brought orders the release of the convicted person in return for providing a personal or financial surety, or without surety if there is no fear of his flight. If the court that issued the first-instance judgment has ordered its immediate enforcement, the appellate court may, at any time while the case is being heard before it, release the convicted person at his request, in return for providing a personal or financial surety, or without surety if there is no fear of his flight
