Article 222 of Code of Criminal Procedure and Trials

If one of the penalties imposed is death or life imprisonment, that penalty alone shall be executed. Article 223 (1) The prison administration shall execute sentences of imprisonment pursuant to a written order from the Police and Public Security based on the notification it receives from the competent authority, to which a copy of the judgment shall be attached. The execution order shall be addressed to the warden of the prison in which execution is to take place, who shall retain it, together with the judgment, in the file of the person sentenced to imprisonment.
