Article 23 of Juveniles Law

If a juvenile is apprehended in one of the situations of exposure to delinquency, the Juvenile Prosecution shall, of its own motion or at the request of the Juvenile Welfare Committee, warn the person responsible for his care in writing to monitor his behaviour in the future. An objection to this warning may be lodged before the Juvenile Court within fifteen days from the date of its receipt. The procedures prescribed for challenging penal orders shall be followed in hearing and deciding this objection, and the judgment shall not be subject to appeal. Imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year and a fine of not less than two hundred dinars and not more than one thousand dinars, or either of these two penalties, shall be imposed on anyone who: 1 - After being warned pursuant to the preceding paragraph, neglects to monitor the juvenile, resulting in his renewed exposure to delinquency in one of the situations set out in Article One of this Law. 2- Has had the juvenile handed over to him and neglects to perform any of his duties towards him, if this results in the juvenile committing an offence or being exposed to delinquency in one of the situations set out in Article One of this Law.
