Article 29 of Bankruptcy Law

The Bankruptcy Judge shall decide the application, within ten days from the date of expiry of the period specified for responding to it, by issuing a decision opening preventive settlement, restructuring or bankruptcy declaration proceedings, and shall designate in the decision a provisional date of cessation of payment. If the decision opening the proceedings does not designate the date on which the debtor ceased payment, the date of issuance of the decision opening the proceedings shall be deemed the provisional date of cessation of payment. If the decision opening the proceedings is issued after the debtor’s death or after the debtor’s retirement from trade and the date of cessation of payment is not designated, the date of death or retirement from trade shall be deemed the provisional date of cessation of payment.
