Article 163 of Commercial Code

Gross. 1 - The transport document shall be drawn up in two copies, one signed by the carrier and delivered to the correspondent, and the other signed by the consignor and delivered to the carrier. 2 - The document shall include, in particular: a - The date on which it was drawn up. b - The names of the consignor, consignee, carrier and transport commission agent, if any, and their domiciles. c - The place of departure and the destination. Law Index 1275 Home Page Commercial Law Decree-Law No. 68 of 1980 Promulgating the Commercial Law d - The kind, weight and volume of the thing transported, the manner of packing it, the number of packages, and every other particular necessary to identify the thing and assess its value. e - The time specified for transport. f - The transport charge, specifying the person obliged to pay it. g - Special agreements relating to the means and route of transport and the compensation payable for the loss of the thing, damage to it or delay in its arrival. 3 - The contrary of what is stated in the transport document may be proved by all means.
