Article 166 of Commercial Code

1 - The consignor shall deliver the thing to the carrier at the carrier's domicile unless delivery at another place is agreed upon. If carriage requires the carrier to make special preparations, the consignor must notify the carrier thereof sufficiently in advance of delivery. 2 - The carrier may request that packages be opened before taking receipt of them to verify the accuracy of the particulars stated by the consignor. 3 - If the nature of the thing requires special preparation for carriage, the consignor must take care to pack it in a manner that protects it against loss or damage and does not expose persons or other things carried with it to harm.
