Article 168 of Commercial Code

1 - While the thing is in the carrier's possession, the consignor may order the carrier to return it to him or direct it to a person other than the consignee, and shall pay the carrier the freight for the carriage completed and compensate him for expenses and damage. 2 - However, the consignor may not exercise this right: a - If he is unable to produce the transport document that he received from the carrier. b - If the thing has arrived and the consignee has requested delivery thereof.
