Article 264 of Commercial Code

1 - If the agent becomes aware of damage sustained during transit by the things he holds for the principal's account, he shall take urgent measures to preserve them. - If the things are exposed to damage, are rapidly perishable, or are exposed to the risk of a decline in their value, and the agent is unable to seek the principal's permission concerning them, he shall seek permission from the President of the Court of First Instance to sell them in the manner determined by him.
