Article 52 of Commercial Code

1 - A person who acquires a trade name as an adjunct to a commercial establishment shall succeed his predecessor in the obligations and rights arising under that name. An agreement to the contrary shall not be effective against third parties unless entered in the Commercial Register or notified to the persons concerned. 2 - Liability for the predecessor's obligations shall lapse upon the passage of five years from the date of transfer of the commercial establishment.
