1 - The drawer or holder of a cheque may stipulate that it shall not be paid in cash by placing on its face the following statement: for credit to an account, or any other expression to this effect. In this case, the drawee may only settle the value of the cheque by book entries, such as credit to an account, bank transfer, or set-off, and these book entries shall constitute payment. - The crossing out of the statement (credit to an account) shall be disregarded. If the drawee fails to observe the foregoing provisions, he shall be liable to compensate for the damage in an amount not exceeding the value of the cheque. Section Two Refusal of Payment

۱ - يجوز لساحب الشيك أو لحامله أن يشترط عدم وفائـه نـقــدا بـأن يضع على صدره
البيان الآتي : للقيد في الحساب أو أية عبارة أخرى في هذا المعنى. وفي هذه الحالة
لا يكون للمسحوب عليه إلا تسوية قيمة الشيك بطريق قيود كتابية كالقيد في
الحساب أو النقل المصرفي أو المقاصة وتقوم هذا القيود الكتابية مقام الوفاء.
- ولا يعتد بشطب بيان (القيد في الحساب).
وإذا لم يراع المسحوب عليه الأحكام المتقدمة كان مسؤولا عن تعويض الضرر
