Article 100 of Private Sector Labour Law

The following shall be followed in the procedures for establishing the organization: 1 - A number of workers wishing to establish a trade union or a number of employers wishing to establish a federation shall meet as a constituent general assembly for either group, through an announcement thereof in at least two daily newspapers no less than two weeks before the date on which the general assembly convenes, specifying the place, time, and objectives of the meeting. 2 - The constituent general assembly shall approve the organization's statutes and may be guided in doing so by the model statutes issued by a decision of the Minister. - The constituent assembly shall elect the board of directors in accordance with the provisions contained in its statutes.
