Article 46 of Law on the Practice of Medicine and Allied Health Professions

The head of the Agency may, by a reasoned decision issued by him, temporarily suspend the license to practice the profession in the government and private sectors for thirty days. He may renew the suspension for a similar period or for the two consecutive periods, up to a maximum of ( ninety days pending determination of the violation attributed to the person suspended, provided that the violation attributed to the practitioner is serious, dangerous, or repeated, and that there are serious preliminary indications demonstrating its occurrence and commission | The Agency must notify the suspended practitioner, the Health Licensing Department, and the health facility in which the suspended person works of that decision and whenever it is renewed. Payment of the practitioner's salary shall not be suspended during the period of suspension.
