Article 67 of Law on the Practice of Medicine and Allied Health Professions

The owner and director of the health facility shall comply with the following: 1 - Organizing medical services and health care and providing them to all patients without any discrimination, with due regard to priority for certain categories of patients whose health condition so requires, in accordance with established medical principles and standards applied in such cases and circumstances, including giving priority to elderly persons in therapeutic, preventive and guidance services at health centres and hospitals and allocating places and parking spaces for them in accordance with Law No. (18) of 2016 concerning Social Care for the Elderly. 2 - Providing the necessary support and required assistance to the medical staff and patients and facilitating procedures for patients and their families, while safeguarding their rights and ensuring that they are informed and guided. 3 - Making the necessary facilitating arrangements to provide services and taking into account the special needs of persons with disabilities as prescribed for them pursuant to Law No. (8) of 2010 AD concerning the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. 4 - Notifying physicians, patients and other persons concerned of instructions, decisions or ministerial regulations issued, while retaining copies thereof with the administration of the health facility. 5 - Retaining all health data and records provided for in the laws and decisions issued by the Ministry. 6 - Equipping the health facility with the supplies, instruments and equipment specified by the Ministry and with the medicines and the quantity it permits.
