Article 72 of Law on the Practice of Medicine and Allied Health Professions

Without prejudice to any more severe penalty prescribed by another law, anyone who commits verbal abuse, defamation, insult or mistreatment against a practitioner of the profession during or by reason of the performance of his work shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years and a fine not exceeding three thousand Kuwaiti dinars, or by either of these two penalties. This shall be subject to the provisions contained in Articles (213), (214), (215), (216) of the Penal Code.
