Article 4 of Law on Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances

The Ministry of Interior shall establish correctional and rehabilitation centres for serving sentences of imprisonment for offences of possessing narcotic or psychotropic substances and preparations for the purpose of consumption. Persons sentenced therein shall undergo a programme of medical treatment, rehabilitation and training, in addition to a family and social integration programme, provided that these centres are in independent buildings completely separate from the prisons in which sentences for other offences are served. The Minister of Interior shall issue the regulations governing the operation of these centres and the specialized programmes after coordination with the relevant entities.
