English translation
An application for correction or change of name shall be submitted to the Committee by the person concerned or his legal representative. A personal name may not be changed more than once. A person lacking or having diminished legal capacity is excepted from this, and may, after his capacity is restored or becomes complete, submit this application on his own behalf once. The name to which correction or change is sought must be written in Arabic, must not be compound, must not be identical to the name of the applicant's father, son, or brother on his father's side, must not violate public order or public morals, or demean the named person's standing and worth, or cause him embarrassment, and must be customarily acceptable.

يقدم طلب تصحيح الاسم أو تغيير الاسم إلى اللجنة من صاحب الشأن أو
من يمثله قانوناً.
ولا يجوز تغيير الاسم الشخصي أكثر من مرة، ويستثنى من ذلك فاقد الأهلية
أو ناقصها، فيجوز له بعد عودة أهليته أو اكتمالها أن يتقدم بهذا الطلب عن
نفسه لمرة واحدة.
ويشترط في الاسم المراد التصحيح أو التغيير إليه أن يكون مكتوباً باللغة العربية،
غير مركب، وغير مطابق لاسم أبي الطالب أو ابنه أو أخيه لأبيه، وألا يخالف
النظام العام أو الآداب العامة ، أو يحط من شأن المسمى وقدره، أو يسبب له
