Article 14 of Decree-Law No. 53 of 2026 Promulgating the Law Regulating Procedures for Parentage and Name Correction Actions

A grievance may be lodged against the Committee's decisions declaring inadmissible or rejecting an application to establish or deny indirect lineage, or an application to correct or change a name and add or delete a surname, before the Grievance Committee, which shall be formed under the chairmanship of a judge of the rank of Counsellor, with a judge of a rank not lower than Deputy President of a Court and a member of the Public Prosecution of a rank not lower than Chief Prosecutor as members. Any interested party may object before the Grievance Committee to the Committee's decisions approving the applications referred to in the preceding paragraph. The grievance or objection shall be submitted within thirty days from the date of notification of the decision or its publication in the Official Gazette, as the case may be. In exercising its jurisdiction, the Grievance Committee shall enjoy the same powers conferred on the Committee provided for in Article (7) of this Law.
